I salute the men and women who put on their uniform every day to serve and protect our country. I also take my hat off to their families. This is a tremendous sacrifice, and we must honor that sacrifice.
The Fifth Congressional District is home to a great number of veterans, and I consider it an honor to serve these brave Americans. In Congress, I work to ensure that we fulfill our commitment to pay tribute to our troops and their service to the nation. It is our duty to ensure that these brave men and women receive proper medical care, access to affordable education, and an honest pension.
