Republican Tax Cut Legislation: Senate Floor Debate
On Wednesday, November 29, the Senate began consideration of H.R. 1, the Republican tax cut legislation.
On Saturday, December 2, the U.S. Senate passed H.R. 1 by a vote of 51 to 49. The House and Senate will need to reconcile the differences betwen the two versions of the Republican tax cut bill.
