Republican Tax Cut Legislation: Senate Budget Committee Resources
According to H. Con. Res. 71, the fiscal year 2018 budget resolution, the Senate Budget Committee is required to pass budget reconciliation legislation to allow the Senate Finance Committee and the entire U.S. Senate to consider H.R. 1, the Republican tax cut bill.
On November 28, 2017, the Senate Budget Committee marked up the reconciliation legislation and favorably reported the bill by a party-line vote of 12 to 11.
