Republican Tax Cut Legislation: Conference Report
On December 15, the conference committee released the final text of H.R. 1. This conference report will need to be adopted by the House and Senate again before being signed into law.

House (I)
Rules Committee
The House Rules Committee met on Monday, December 18, to determine the Rule for consideration of the final conference report on the House Floor. (Watch online)
On December 19, the full House passed the Rule by a vote of 233 to 193.
Floor Consideration
On December 19, the full House passed the conference report to H.R. 1 by a vote of 227 to 203. You can watch floor debate here (C-SPAN).
Senate
On December 19, after a series of procedural votes, the Senate passed the conference report to H.R. 1 by a vote of 51 to 48. You can watch Senate floor debate here (C-SPAN).
House (II)
Because the final conference report violated some Senate procedural rules, the full House must again vote on the corrected version to the conference report. That vote will occur on December 20, and you can watch the floor debate here (C-SPAN). The House approved the Rule by a vote of 232 to 190. The House then passed the final version of the bill, concurring in the Senate amendment, by a vote of 224 to 201.
