Addressing Atlanta's Transportation Needs
In April 2007, the U.S. Census Bureau announced that the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta Metropolitan area is fastest growing urban community in the country. The 5th Congressional District is also home to the largest passenger airport in the world. With economic and population explosion, comes logistical and commuting challenges.
A former Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Rep. Lewis is committed to securing funds that continue to establish the Atlanta Metro Area as a leader for developing alternative, environmentally-friendly ways to address population growth and transportation challenges.
